Curriculum:
South Dade Academy is committed to providing our students with a top-quality education. That’s why we’ve partnered with Apex Learning, an industry leader in online education with deep expertise in core curriculum and meeting the graduation requirements set by the Florida Department of Education.
Apex is fully accredited and approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), giving our students a head start on their collegiate journey. With Apex’s standards-based learning and comprehensive course catalog, we can personalize the curriculum for each student, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable learning experience. Students are encouraged to log in during their assigned sessions and beyond to make steady progress through their coursework and to complete one course per month to maintain a healthy flow of academic progress.
This equates to a maximum of 5 quizzes per day within a unit. Each unit concludes with a final exam initially locked in for security purposes. A facilitator must unlock the exam, which will remain unlocked for 30 minutes to accommodate our cybersecurity protocols.

To graduate from South Dade Academy, you’ll complete 18 credits as part of the FLDOE High School Diploma program. These credits will include core subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies and electives that let you explore your passions. We offer the flexibility to complete all courses at our academy or transfer credits from accredited institutions so you can tailor your education to your unique needs.
Academic Excellence:
We’re committed to your success. To be eligible for graduation, you’ll maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, ensuring you’re well-prepared for what comes next. You’ll also complete your final courses at South Dade Academy, where our supportive community will help you finish strong.
